Turn Challenges into Opportunities

“Turn every challenge into an opportunity. No matter how difficult it is, every challenge contains the seed of a benefit. You just have to look for it.”

Many times I’ve heard people complain about the obstacles and challenges that they have to overcome, and these challenges are the excuses they use to explain why they can’t achieve their successes.
Sometimes we tell ourselves, “I don’t have enough money for that project,” or “I don’t have the education to get that promotion,” or we complain about all the situations that are obstacles to our successes.

To really understand the balance between challenges and opportunities, we have to take a hard look at what challenges really are. Believe it or not, challenges are more important than we realize. They provide us with the experience, knowledge, and tools we need to prepare us for the next steps in our journey to achieve success.

To achieve success, we have to be ready to receive it. Similar to the saying, “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” If one of your goals is to make a certain amount of money, first you need to determine exactly how much money you want to make. Then you need to decide and plan exactly how you are going to make it. This plan may include education in certain field, acquiring knowledge, or doing a certain amount of work. Whatever it is, you will need certain conditions met before you will see your money or any other goal you may have. Obstacles and challenges are key ingredients to prepare you for that moment of victory. Take advantage of those challenges and find the seeds of benefit that each one of them contains.

Just as I did in my kickboxing world championship fights, roll with the punches and don’t give up. Use patience, have faith and never lose sight of your dreams. Believe in yourself, and you will achieve your goals, no matter how big they are.

With these simple steps you have the power to change your life.
